Avian Influenza outbreak in Western Victoria

11 Aug 2020

Farm Pride is working closely with Agriculture and Health authorities following an outbreak of Avian Influenza in Western Victoria.

We placed our farm at Lethbridge, near Geelong, in full lockdown on 30 July, as soon as we were aware of a potential Avian Influenza outbreak on a nearby farm.

All egg movements at our Lethbridge farm were immediately suspended, and all raw material, finished goods, packaging and transporting materials were quarantined on farm.

We were advised on 7 August that our Lethbridge farm has tested positive for Avian Influenza.

We are confident that our proactive control and containment measures at Lethbridge have been effective, ensuring no other parts of our business are affected.

Consumers can have confidence in the food safety of all Farm Pride products.

Farm Pride places paramount importance in the quality of our product, food safety, staff welfare and protecting our customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
