Farm Pride is working closely with Agriculture and Health authorities following an outbreak of Avian Influenza in Western Victoria.

We placed our farm at Lethbridge, near Geelong, in full lockdown on 30 July, as soon as we were aware of a potential Avian Influenza outbreak on a nearby farm.

All egg movements at our Lethbridge farm were immediately suspended, and all raw material, finished goods, packaging and transporting materials were quarantined on farm.

We were advised on 7 August that our Lethbridge farm has tested positive for Avian Influenza.

We are confident that our proactive control and containment measures at Lethbridge have been effective, ensuring no other parts of our business are affected.

Consumers can have confidence in the food safety of all Farm Pride products.

Farm Pride places paramount importance in the quality of our product, food safety, staff welfare and protecting our customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

OUR EGG-CELLENT MOVE ONLINE

As Australian shoppers took to their local supermarket shelves to grab eggs for isolation baking, Farm Pride customers began calling out for a convenient, long-life substitute to have in their pantry.

So, Farm Pride answered the call. With long-life dairy products already on the shelf, Farm Pride is making moves to stock powered eggs that are accessible to Australian families online.

Through the COVID-19 pandemic, shopper trends have pointed to an increased demand of online shopping and to assist with this, Farm Pride is now operating its own online store.

Farm Pride Marketing and Activation Manager Sarah McLeod said the move would ensure eggs could remain a staple – even if the shell-type eggs walk from the aisles in a hurry.

“When panic buying hit and supermarket shelves were bare of eggs, Farm Pride customers were calling out for a convenient long-life substitute to have in their pantry,” she said.

“In a move to make powdered eggs easily available to Australian shoppers, Farm Pride has moved to an online store. For the first time ever, shipping direct to families the online store stocks packs of egg powder containing 100 per cent Australian Eggs.

“Farm Pride’s egg powder is made using Australian pasteurised eggs, spray dried to retain the goodness of delicious eggs and sealed into a convenient pack ready to be used.

“Farm Pride is thrilled to be able to provide a convenient product through such an accessible platform. Farm Pride’s egg powder is perfect to keep in your pantry for those moments when you have just run out of fresh eggs or to pack in your kit while going away on a grand adventure across Australia when we can holiday again”

Just add water to the egg powder and stir to rehydrate into an egg mix.

The rehydrated egg can be used in place of lightly beaten eggs for your favourite cakes, batters, quiches, biscuits, scrambled egg or omelette recipes.

Farm Pride’s whole egg powder can be purchased online at store.farmpride.com.au

For more information or media enquiries, please contact Farm Pride Marketing and Activation Manager Sarah McLeod.

That ‘something’ is a whole new look and feel for Farm Pride. From our website and logo, to our egg cartons and pretty much everything else, we’ve boldly refreshed our brand.

The big change you’ll notice straight off are our new egg cartons. They’ll be hitting supermarkets in the near future. Quite simply, they’re unmissable. Along with being bright and striking, they’re refreshingly easy to understand.

We’ll also be a regular on social media and our email newsletter will deliver a range of tasty stuff. No essays, we promise. So, make sure you follow us and sign-up for our newsletter as well.  Since you’re already here, take a wander around our new website too.

For all the changes, one thing hasn’t changed: the pride we take in our eggs. We firmly believe that eggs are more than the sum of their nutritional good stuff. Rather, they’re the start of something good – a meal, an occasion, human interaction.

That’s what we’re all about. We’re here to start something.
